Sánchez Tells Lawmakers No Firm Evidence Links Morocco to Ceuta Migrant Surge

Pedro Sánchez told Spain's Congress on 3 September 2026 that no "solid evidence" connects Morocco to the mass migrant crossings into Ceuta, the Spanish enclave in North Africa. Lawmakers across the political spectrum disputed this, blaming or co-blaming Rabat. A police report released on 2 September 2026 had intensified calls for answers.
