Mamma Mia! performance rights opened to UK and Ireland schools for first time

Music Theatre International released educational performance rights for Mamma Mia! to UK and Ireland schools and universities on 2 September 2026 — the first access since the show opened in the West End over 27 years ago. MTI London's Ryan Macaulay said the agency had received regular requests from schools. Groups can now apply to licence the ABBA musical through MTI's School Editions catalogue.
