Capcom reveals Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance expansion, PS5 release set for 2027

Capcom revealed Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a paid expansion to the 2026 base game, during Sony's September 3, 2026 State of Play. The trailer introduced Araketa, a pack-hunting Bird Wyvern, and Gundoraja, an Elder Dragon that controls storms. The story jumps forward several years and adds the Skybound Eyrie, a floating region. PS5 release is set for 2027.
