Royal Mews loans Queen Elizabeth II's fell pony and a carriage horse to Brixton riding charity

The Royal Mews, the royal household department providing road transport for the monarch, has loaned two horses to Ebony Riding Club in Brixton. Taylor, 17, a fell pony that escorted Queen Elizabeth II on daily rides at Windsor, and Maggie, a Cleveland Bay carriage horse bred at Hampton Court, joined the charity, which provides over 1,700 rides weekly to more than 110 disadvantaged young riders. Maggie was loaned after an injury ended her carriage work. Queen Camilla, the charity's President since 2009, visited on 3 September 2026.
