Ultimate Championships debuts in Budapest with record $10m prize pot

World Athletics launches the Ultimate Championships in Budapest from 11–13 September — a biennial event bringing together the sport's top performers. The $10m (£7.41m) prize fund is the highest in track and field history. Each gold medallist receives $150,000 (£111,000). The inaugural edition marks a new commercial benchmark for the sport.
