UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage releases self-narrated audiobook of 'New Cemetery'

UK poet laureate Simon Armitage narrates his own 70-minute audiobook of "New Cemetery," published by Faber and reviewed by The Guardian on 3 September 2026. The collection takes its origin from a municipal cemetery built on grazing land near his Huddersfield home during the Covid lockdown — a period that coincided with the death of his father. The US edition is published by Knopf.
