At Sony's September 3 State of Play, director Zach Cregger debuted a Raccoon City clip from his Resident Evil film, releasing September 18. The sequence used 150-pound body-sized blood bags dropped from cranes instead of CGI. One nearly struck actor Austin Abrams. Cregger said it would have killed him. The scene remains in the final cut.
