Frontier will self-fund and self-publish its Disney game, taking on all financial risk

Frontier Developments announced a Disney collaboration on 3 September 2026. The Cambridge studio will fully fund and self-publish the game — no external publisher bankrolls development or handles distribution. No Disney property, release window or platform was named. CEO Jo Cooke said the project reinforces Frontier's strategy in creative management simulation, the genre behind Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution.
