Science Museum in London ends BP sponsorship after nearly 25 years

The Science Museum Group confirmed on 28 August 2026 that its BP sponsorship ends 31 August 2026, closing a relationship of nearly 25 years. The deal, described to The Times as ten-year running to 2028, finishes two years early. BP told The Guardian the partnership concludes "at the end of its agreed term." The museum severed its Equinor tie in 2024; the British Museum ended its BP deal in 2023.
