Aardman's Stop-Motion Pokémon Series Heads to Disney+ in 2027

Aardman, the British studio behind Wallace & Gromit, is producing a stop-motion Pokémon series — "Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu" — premiering on Disney+ in 2027. A teaser trailer debuted at the 2026 Pokémon World Championships closing ceremony in San Francisco on 31 August, during a panel with Aardman staff and Pokémon's director of original animation Phil Rynda.
