Internal document puts Toronto–Quebec City high-speed rail cost near $150-billion
A Crown corporation briefing obtained by The Globe and Mail estimates the Toronto–Quebec City high-speed rail line's full 40-year cost at $148.1-billion to $152.7-billion. Alto's public $60-billion to $90-billion figure covers infrastructure only. The internal document adds trains and decades of upkeep. The numbers were redacted in earlier access-to-information releases.
