Paulina García thriller 'Love Is the Monster' set for TIFF Centrepiece world premiere

Bendita Film Sales is selling world rights to "Love Is the Monster," a dystopian thriller from Costa Rican writer-director Neto Villalobos Brenes. Paulina García, Berlin Silver Bear winner for "Gloria," plays a grandmother whose granddaughter is kidnapped for ransom. The five-country Latin American co-production world-premieres in TIFF's Centrepiece strand on 15 September, per The Hollywood Reporter.
