Queen Nazli of Egypt's $4.6 million necklace stolen in daylight hammer heist at Vienna's MAK

Two unmasked thieves bought tickets to Vienna's Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) on 27 August, smashed a display case with a hammer and walked out with a platinum-and-diamond necklace once owned by Queen Nazli of Egypt. Last appraised at US$4.6 million by Sotheby's, the 200-carat piece is on Interpol's stolen-art database. Austrian police have security footage of both suspects.
