Pokémon Unite leaves the World Championships after 2026, gets standalone farewell tournament in Tokyo

The Pokémon Company confirmed 2026 is Pokémon Unite's final year in the Pokémon World Championships. The free-to-play title, developed by Tencent's Timi Studio and released on Nintendo Switch on 21 July 2021, will not appear in the 2027 Worlds programme. A standalone farewell event — the Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo — is tentatively scheduled for late March 2027, with up to 32 teams.
