Nepal headteacher's swift evacuation saves 900 children as glacial flood swamps school

Headteacher Rajendra Dawadi evacuated 900 students from Tribhuwan Trishuli secondary school in Nuwakot after receiving four rapid flood warnings. A glacial collapse on the Nepal-Tibet border triggered the deluge. Dawadi said a 10-minute delay would have killed everyone. Nationwide, 69 schools were damaged and 781 people are confirmed dead.
