Pidcock wins second mountain bike world title despite practice crash and sore back

Tom Pidcock won his second cross-country mountain bike world title in Val di Sole, Italy, finishing 17 seconds ahead of GB teammate Charlie Aldridge. Canada's Cole Punchard took bronze. Pidcock crashed badly in practice on Friday and his back hurt from lap one. He attacked on lap seven of eight to win in 1:25:26. The title adds to his 2023 world crown.
