Rockstar says GTA 6 will have no microtransactions

Rockstar Games told Kinda Funny Games there are "no monetisations in this game," confirming Grand Theft Auto 6 — due 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S — will ship without microtransactions. GTA Online, the previous entry's live-service component, ran for years on in-game currency sales. The £70 standard edition and £90 Ultimate Edition are one-time purchases.
