Djurgardens sign Abdulmalik for record £1.5m+, topping Vardy's fifth-tier fee

Djurgardens have agreed a National League record fee exceeding £1.5m for Boreham Wood winger Abdul Abdulmalik, per the BBC. The deal surpasses the £1m Leicester paid Fleetwood for Jamie Vardy in 2012 — the previous fifth-tier record. Abdulmalik, released by Millwall in 2024, struck 17 goals and 10 assists last season. He was completing a medical in Stockholm.
