Paramount dates Days of Thunder sequel for 2 June 2028

Paramount has claimed a 2 June 2028 release slot for its Days of Thunder sequel, a summer-corridor play 38 years after the 1990 original. Tom Cruise returns as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle, with Anne Hathaway cast as a team owner and engineer. Cruise announced the project on X on 29 August 2026, posting the tagline "Summer 2028."
