Anne Hathaway joins Tom Cruise in Paramount's Days of Thunder sequel, dated for summer 2028

Anne Hathaway will star opposite Tom Cruise in Paramount's sequel to Days of Thunder, Variety reported on 29 August 2026; Deadline confirmed independently the same day. Cruise reprises Cole Trickle; Hathaway plays a racecar team owner and engineer. Jonathan Levine directs from a Will Staples script. Cruise produces with Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper. Paramount dates the film for summer 2028.
