Laptops with game builds stolen from multiple Gamescom 2026 developer booths

At least three exhibitors — solo dev Ryan Laley (Mimic), publisher iam8bit (Petal Runner, Escape Academy 2) and Tessera Studios (The Zibbo Show) — had laptops stolen from their booths at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne. iam8bit said Koelnmesse security was present. The laptops may hold unfinished builds. Police are investigating; no arrests reported.
