British players complain of marijuana smell at US Open, Court 17 dubbed 'hash court'

Marijuana smoke from Corona Park, which surrounds the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, has drifted over Flushing Meadows outer courts. Britain's No 1 Katie Boulter said many players complained. Court 17 has been nicknamed the "hash court". The USTA said it cannot control activity off its grounds. New York state permits adult marijuana use; the US Open site bans all smoking.
