Pendlebury to Suns on Hodge-style play-coach deal after Collingwood decline

AFL games record holder Scott Pendlebury (442 games) will join Gold Coast as an unrestricted free agent when the period opens October 2, his manager Anthony Panozzo confirmed. The four-year deal: two as player-coach, two as assistant — mirroring Luke Hodge's Brisbane move. That Lions list won two flags from three Grand Finals. Collingwood did not offer a contract.
