Liechtenstein prince's engagement follows AI-image denial over Belgian heir link

Prince Georg of Liechtenstein, 27, is engaged to Princess Maria-Nives von der Leyen, 25, his parents confirmed on 28 August 2026. The wedding is expected in Germany in late summer 2027. In 2025 the House of Liechtenstein told HELLO! that a viral image appearing to show Georg embracing Belgium's Princess Elisabeth had been created using artificial intelligence.
