Macon Blair's 'Idiots' Opens in US Theatres via IFC After Sundance Premiere

Macon Blair's road-trip comedy "Idiots," written with Alex Orr and produced by Dan Reardon and David Gordon Green, opened in US theatres on 28 August 2026 via IFC. The film, starring Dave Franco, O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Mason Thames, premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. Franco told The Hollywood Reporter he pursued the Blair collaboration for roughly ten years.
