Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def Recordings voluntarily dismissed their $18 million royalty lawsuit against Sony Music on Aug. 28, 2026, after filing it in July. Attorneys told the judge the matter was "resolved." The dismissal was filed "without prejudice," meaning the claim could be refiled. No settlement terms were disclosed.
