Prince Gabriel of Belgium received his master's in Social and Military Sciences from the Royal Military Academy in Brussels on 28 August 2026. The Belgian royal palace confirmed he will join the armed forces professionally — a first for his family, enabled by a May 2026 Council of Ministers amendment allowing royals a paid military career.
