Former rough sleeper Gihan Arnolda opens Newmarket yard with five winners from 33 runners

Gihan Arnolda has trained five winners from his first 33 runners and banked £50,000 in prize money from Cadland Cottage Stables in Newmarket. A former jockey whose career ended by a broken pelvis in 2009, Arnolda slept rough on the streets of east London as a teenager before being fostered. He retrained as a chef under Gordon Ramsay, then returned to racing through Godolphin.
