Edinburgh TV Festival ends 50-year Scottish run, relocates to Manchester in 2027

The Edinburgh TV Festival held its final edition in the Scottish capital in 2026, ending a 50-year run that drew largely London-based executives north each August. Festival Chair Fatima Salaria delivered an emotional farewell to the Pentland theatre audience. The festival relocates to Manchester in 2027. Screen Scotland plans a replacement event for August 2027, led by former festival executive Rowan Woods.
