Princess Anne is a godmother to Norway's new King Haakon VIII

Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, was named a godmother to King Haakon VIII of Norway at his christening in Oslo's Royal Palace chapel on 20 September 1973. She was unable to attend the ceremony but later attended his confirmation. Haakon acceded to the throne on 28 August 2026 after the death of his father, King Harald.
