Nvidia's unreleased DLSS 5 leaks via NBA 2K27, modders port it to other games

Nvidia's DLSS 5 neural rendering technology, officially slated for fall 2026, leaked after NBA 2K27 shipped with the DLSS 5 library file. Modders from the renodx community extracted it and got DLSS 5 running on Control, with ResetEra users later testing it on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and The Last of Us Part 2. The system can halve GPU performance depending on the card.
