The Venice4Palestine collective published an open letter on 28 August 2026, signed by Roger Waters, Annie Ernaux, Matteo Garrone and Isabel Coixet, demanding the Venice Film Festival suspend agreements with institutions linked to the Israeli government and introduce safeguards for professionals who cut ties with those bodies.
