Stockholm's Bonniers Konsthall opens anti-fascist exhibition two weeks before Swedish election

Bonniers Konsthall in Stockholm opened "The Defeated: The Aesthetics of Resistance 2026" on 28 August, two weeks before Sweden's 13 September parliamentary election. The show features 19 artists and eight commissions. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson's centre-right minority government has been backed since 2022 by the right-wing populist Sweden Democrats. A performance is scheduled for 12 September — the eve of the vote.
