Casting Director Andrea Eastman Dies at 86

Andrea Eastman, who cast Ali MacGraw in Goodbye, Columbus (1969) and Love Story at Paramount, has died at 86, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on 27 August 2026. Love Story grossed over $170 million worldwide and earned seven Oscar nominations after a dozen established actors passed on the male lead. MacGraw was signed for $20,000.
