Wigan honour late Sir Billy Boston with 46-0 thrashing of Hull KR

Wigan beat Hull KR 46-0 on 27 August 2026, the night they honoured Sir Billy Boston, who died aged 92. The seats he and his late wife Lady Joan occupied were left empty. Zach Eckersley, now wearing Boston's old number-two shirt, scored two tries. Liam Marshall grabbed a hat-trick as Wigan went top via a 13th straight Super League win.
