"luther" by Kendrick Lamar and SZA wins BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Song of the Year after 23-week chart record

BMI named "luther" by Kendrick Lamar and SZA its R&B/Hip-Hop Song of the Year at the 2026 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, held August 26 in Los Angeles. The track spent 23 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, surpassing the 22-week record set by Lamar's own "Not Like Us." Lamar was also named Songwriter of the Year.
