Rockstar confirms GTA VI map is three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2's world

Rockstar Games released an extended-look trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on 27 August 2026. According to Rockstar, the game's Leonida map is three times as large as the playable area of Red Dead Redemption 2 — itself one of gaming's biggest open worlds. The detail had surfaced in a 25 August leak; the trailer confirmed it.
