Paramount Primal Acquires Nick Cutter's 'The Troop'; Chris Basler to Write

Paramount Primal, the genre label run by BoulderLight Pictures' J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules, has acquired film rights to Nick Cutter's James Herbert Award-winning horror novel 'The Troop', per Deadline (27 Aug 2026). Chris Basler is set to write. Lyrical Media, behind A24's 'Onslaught', will produce. No release date is set.
