Nepal-China Border Flash Floods Kill 165, Hundreds of Travellers Missing

Flash floods along the Nepal-China border killed at least 165 people across both countries on August 26–27, 2026, destroying villages, roads, and bridges. Hundreds of foreign travellers remain missing. With ground routes severed, helicopters are delivering aid as the death toll is expected to rise.
