Suno must hand over training records as copyright suit enters discovery

Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV on August 20 refused to dismiss most of Justice v. Suno, clearing the independent-artist class action into discovery. Plaintiffs led by country musician Tony Justice can now demand internal Suno documents covering training data, ingested works, and AI-generated outputs — evidence that could reveal the extent of copyrighted material used.
