Coyote vs. Acme: from Warner Bros. tax write-off to summer 2026 release

Warner Bros. Discovery shelved the finished film Coyote vs. Acme in November 2023 for a tax write-off, repeating the tactic used on Batgirl. Ketchup Entertainment acquired it in March 2025 and set a summer 2026 theatrical release. The Los Angeles premiere has now drawn glowing reviews, The Hollywood Reporter notes. Will Forte called the shelving "an emotional roller coaster."
