Tony-Nominated Scenic Designer Anna Louizos Dies at 69

Anna Louizos, a three-time Tony-nominated scenic designer whose Broadway credits include Avenue Q, In the Heights, and School of Rock: The Musical, died August 25, 2026, at 69. Her wife, producer Robyn Goodman, said the death followed health complications from a horseback riding accident Louizos suffered in Greece the prior year. Playbill and Broadway World confirmed the death.
