Pogacar survives final-descent off-road scare to win Vuelta stage six in Castellón

Tadej Pogacar won stage six of the 2026 Vuelta a España in Castellón de la Plana on 27 August, his third stage win of the race. On the final descent he misjudged a corner and briefly left the road, but recovered to catch Enric Mas — who had crested the last climb ahead — and outsprint him. Pogacar's overall lead stands at 3 minutes 34 seconds over Mas.
