Pidcock and Van der Poel join mountain bike world championship XCO field at Val di Sole

Tom Pidcock and Mathieu van der Poel have entered the XCO cross-country race at the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy (26–30 August). Pidcock, a two-time Olympic and 2023 world XCO champion, chases a second rainbow jersey. Van der Poel, a road Monument and cyclocross world champion, makes a rare mountain bike start.
