Petition to Rename Nashville Airport After Dolly Parton Nears 127,000 Signatures

A Change.org petition to rename Nashville International Airport (BNA) as Dolly Parton International Airport has gathered nearly 127,000 signatures, Billboard reported on 27 August. The count more than doubled from roughly 50,000 after Parton died of cancer on 25 August at age 80. Tennessee State Senator Todd Warner pledged to introduce renaming legislation; the Metro Nashville Airport Authority holds the final decision.
