Channel 5's Frow says he would not have commissioned BBC's Sarah Everard drama

Channel 5 chief content officer Ben Frow told the Edinburgh TV Festival on 27 August 2026 that he would never have commissioned the BBC's planned Sarah Everard murder drama. His own Paramount-owned network has commissioned dramas about Madeleine McCann and Huw Edwards. The BBC's two-part factual drama, written by Jeff Pope, focuses on the police investigation, not the crime itself.
