BBC confirms Top Gear return after four-year absence

BBC director of entertainment Ed Havard told the Edinburgh TV Festival: "Top Gear is coming back." It is the first new season since 2022, when presenter Andrew Flintoff was badly injured in an on-set crash at Dunsfold Park, Surrey. No premiere date, episode count or host has been announced. A driving consultant is separately suing BBC Studios over the crash.
