Roma woman director reaches A-list festival first with Venice premiere

Alina Șerban's feature debut 'I Matter' ('Eu Contez') world-premieres at the Venice International Film Festival on 8 September, in the Venezia Spotlight section. The Hollywood Reporter describes it as the first film by a Roma woman selected for an A-list festival. Berlin-based Pluto Film handles international sales. Denisa Farcaș stars.
