Naver Ventures makes first media-content investment with seven-figure stake in Baobab Studios

Naver Ventures, the US arm of South Korea's Naver Corporation, has made a seven-figure strategic investment in ten-time Emmy-winning animation studio Baobab, valuing it above its previous round. Naver Ventures, which previously backed AI and fintech startups, enters media content for the first time. Baobab CEO Maureen Fan leads the studio. (Variety, 27 August 2026)
