Carlton go handball-heavy in 2026 AFLW, post league-best turnover differential

Carlton have flipped their ball movement in the 2026 AFLW season, lifting average handballs from 100.8 to 134.0 per game and dropping their kicking share from 61.3% to 54.4%. Across the opening two rounds the Blues posted a league-best +51 points from turnover differential. The midfield trio of Mimi Hill, Abbie McKay and recruit Claudia Whitfort drives the handball game, with handball metres gained rising from 178 to 335 per game.
